Arduino Esplora
Inspired by Leonardo, Arduino Esplora brings a number of differences, breaking the conventions of Arduino boards. In addition to various onboard sensors (built-in), the ease of use is impressive. This the board for all those Arduino lovers who don’t care for getting an insight into the electro-coding and simply want to get started with Arduino. The design carries a nostalgic glimpse of the traditional joystick supported gamepads. The arrangement of the push-buttons is also in accordance with the conventional pattern.

Arduino Esplora Description
The built-in sensors accompany the outputs for light and sound. In addition to the joystick, accelerometer, slider and temperature sensors, the Esplora entertains different expansions including a couple of output connectors and input Tinkerkit. The board also contains a TFT color display socket.Â
The board features a reset-button along the upper-left corner. The status LEDs are also mounted on the board.
- ON (Green) signifies the reception of the power-supply suggesting the ON status
- L (Yellow) signifies a direct connection to the microcontroller and pin-13 provides the access
- TX/RX(Yellow) signifies the transmission (incoming/outgoing) of data via USB
The outlook of Arduino Esplora is a reminder of the conventional gamepad that featured a joystick on one half and a few buttons on the opposite half. There is a central push-button along with the joystick and the X/Y axis buttons. On the other side, you’ll see four buttons outlining a diamond pattern.

Esplora USB Overcurrent Safety
The resettable Polyfuse keeps USB ports protected in case of the overcurrent. The Polyfuse won’t stand above 500mA resulting in the disconnection of the flow.Â
