This WiFi module features a USB3.0 interface. It is a dual-band WiFi with IEEE 802.11 ac/ a/ b/ g/ n WLAN compatibility. A dual-band WiFi module is one that uses two radio frequency bands, i.e., 2.4GHz and 5GHz. The conventional single-band WiFi uses only one frequency band, i.e., 2.4GHz, and often becomes slow when multiple devices are connected. This 2×2 MIMO dual-band WiFi module from Hardkernel is designed to support Linux and Android Operating Systems on Odroid Boards including Odroid XU4, Odroid C0, Odroid C1+ and more. It comes with a dual-band antenna and features the RTL8812AU (Realtek) chipset.
