The NanoPi R2S features the 1.3 GHz Quad-Core Cortex-A53 Rockchip RK3328, 1GB DDR4 RAM, edge-computing support, and Dual Gbps Ethernet. It comes with the exclusive CNC case that supports most interfaces and connectors of the NanoPi R2S mini-router. The R2S mini-router also has the RK805 PMU chip. Dynamic frequency scaling is supported by this board. The USB 2.0 Port on R2S supports USB WiFi modules, USB HD cameras, and USB 4G modules, etc. This mini-router is compatible with Ambian, UbuntuCore, and FriendlyWrt, etc. They are Linux-5.4 (LTS) based software. It supports the TF card for boot purposes. The mainline versions are also supported by OpenWrt. For power input, the NanoPi R2S has a Type-C USB port compatible with 5V / 2A power supply.
Dual Gbps Ethernet Ports
The NanoPi R2S has WAN and LAN ports. The WAN port is the direct extension from the SoC whereas the LAN port is a USB3.0 conversion. The TX and RX rates of both Gpbs Ethernet interfaces are the same, i.e., 941 Mbps.
